RA Lad camp was a blast. We took 9 kids and 8 dads. All my photos can be found on my Picasa Page. Enjoy!
Random Thoughts:
1. The camp staff (summer help) work really hard to make it a great place.
2. The kids absolutely cannot walk at that place. Rule #1 —- walk…
3. God’s beauty in His creation is all around you.
4. The cabins are old and rustic but very livable. The weather was PERFECT.
5, It was great to get to know some dads that I’ve never had the privilege of hanging out with before.
6. ”Is it poisonous?” - ask one of the dad’s for the inside scoop.
7. Lake Chillywater is aptly named.
8. Generations of Lads have attended and their name is on a wall somewhere to prove it.
9. Cabin #9 is officially the place we’ll be placed forever thanks to whoever at EBC that decided to adopt it years ago. (It’s at the TOP of the mountain!)
10. God is good all the time. It was a special time with my son. I’m convinced that is the way God wants us to be all the time. Why do we struggle with it?

Started at 7:00am sharp! Most kids were in their rooms by 10:30pm. Bottom line: they didn’t see those rooms for over 15 hours. The still had energy left at the end of the day. Maybe we could bottle that up and sell it to ease our foreign oil dependance. We’ll experiment with that.
Everyone seems to be enjoying all aspects of camp except maybe that climb to the top of rec hill. It really is a doozie!
Ice cream is a staple. Jeff Slaughter is a big influence on these kids. See the Facebook photos. He spent some private time with us last night. Pretty awesome of him.
Today is slaughter’s salon. Expect wild things!
Off to kick off the day. Oh. Make sure you ask your kid about “ain’t that funky”
Look for more tweets and facebook photos tonight….late.

we made it! we were a little late due to air conditioning problems on the bus. i wish i could say that it was a “no sweat” issue but it was hot! put us about an hour behind.
we arrived at 4:10pm and promptly got moving. it was non-stop until 10:30pm.
opening ceremonies were great and the kids loved the music. photos proved that the adults did too!
busy day ahead…make sure you check out the photos on Dean’s facebook page. if you aren’t his friend on facebook, just ask.
pardon the proper capitalization and punctuation for the week. we’ll be giving brief updates here from mobile devices.
